Independent bottling of Port Ellen by Douglas Laing for their Old Malt Cask range.

Distilled November 1980, bottled April 2006 from cask #DL REF669. One of 201 bottles.

Port Ellen distillery closed its doors and quieted its stills in 1983.  Since then, much of it has been demolished.  But the warehouses remain, and inside them a steadily decreasing number of oak casks slumber on.
