Distilled in October 1988 at Glasgow’s historic, now-lost Port Dundas distillery, this rare 28-year-old single grain Scotch whisky was selected and bottled by independent blender and bottler Douglas MacGibbon for their acclaimed Clan Denny series. Maturing for nearly three decades in a single refill oak hogshead cask, it is presented at a robust 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The extended aging yields a rich, elegant profile characterized by clean, warm toffee, home-baked spices, and sweet sherbet on the nose. The palate opens with a concentrated burst of citrus fruits layered over silky crème anglaise, vanilla, and mocha flavours, resolving into a long, satisfying finish coated in lingering barley sugar. Un-chillfiltered and released in an extremely limited single-cask run, it offers a sophisticated, historic snapshot of Lowland single grain craftsmanship from a legendary lost distillery.
