Nikka Yoichi 2022 ‘Aromatic Yeast’ Single Malt Japanese Whisky, 70cl, 48% ABV

An unpeated release of Yoichi whisky from Japan. Very unusual considering the distillery’s signature style embodies maritime peat (often described as a Campbeltown-esque). 

This limited edition expression released by Nikka in 2022 ‘Aromatic Yeast’  is partly made using a batch which has an estery aroma reminiscent of ginjyo sake.
