Mars Maltage “Cosmo” Blended Malt Japanese Whisky, 70cl, 43% ABV

Cosmo from Mars Maltage is a blended malt that includes whisky from Shinshu in Japan. A big hit when released at the 2015 Tokyo International Bar Show.

Japanese whisky that artfully bridges two traditions by marrying single malts distilled at Mars’ high-altitude Shinshu distillery with imported Scotch malt whiskies. Bottled at a versatile 43% ABV in a 70cl format, this expression opens with a rich nose of sweet honey, vanilla, cherry, and dark chocolate, leading into a smooth, rounded palate full of ripe orange, plum, and soft baking spices. It concludes with a clean, elegant finish marked by lingering fruit sweetness and a subtle hint of wood smoke, making it an exceptionally well-balanced dram whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in a premium highball.
