Presented with its iconic fluted glass base, cork stopper, and matching wooden tube enclosure, this 88.9 proof (44.45% ABV) Kentucky sour mash bourbon was produced by Ancient Age / Buffalo Trace using their famous high-rye Mash Bill #2—primarily targeted for export markets like Japan during the 1990s and early 2000s. The nose opens with sweet, tropical aromatics of mango, papaya, honeyed vanilla, and soft oak. On the palate, a silky, well-balanced texture delivers rich honey, sweet corn, butterscotch, and warm rye baking spices, backed by a subtle trace of clover and light leather. It finishes smooth, warm, and refined, leaving gentle lingering notes of citrus peel, soft nutmeg, and dried oak tannin.
