Benrinnes 21 Year Old 1974 Rare Malts Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl, 60.4% ABV

Until recently, the distillery ran a partial triple-distillation process (most Scotch whisky is distilled only twice) that continues to lend its older malt a great deal of refinement, with its flavours in turns chocolatey, fruity, and spicy.  The distillery dates back to 1826, but has been rebuilt three times following a flood in 1829, a fire in 1896, and increased market demands in 1954-55. 

Official bottling of Benrinnes released as part of Diageo’s Rare Malts series in the mid 1990s. Distilled 1974.
