Glenmorangie Sherry Wood Finish Single Highland Malt is a classic vintage expression from the distillery’s iconic early Wood Finish range introduced in the late 1990s—the precursor to the modern Lasanta. After initial aging in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, this single malt was transferred to Spanish Oloroso sherry casks for a secondary maturation period. The nose opens with inviting aromas of dark raisins, honeycomb, orange zest, and toasted hazelnuts, underlying Glenmorangie’s signature floral character. On the palate, a velvety, smooth body delivers sweet malt, sultanas, milk chocolate, and dates, balanced by gentle nutmeg and oak spices.
